Highlights include Miken being a badass, me receiving a fan-base at Cabell Midland, and seeing Herp near completion. Horrible moments? Me getting pissed and breaking my monitor...
I pretty much never debugged. There were always other people around to do it for me. Patrick, James, JJ, my brother, but mostly it was Zac who debugged. When I say "debug" I mean they found a bug and I fixed it.
Wow... I cant believe it took this long for enemies. I already had Miken and Brutes and assholes with jetpacks... So... Yeah, I was a little early to the party...
I fucking LOVE platforms! At first I thought they'd be a pain in the ass, but they aren't. Herp began invading warehouses after this topic. I still need to upload my block puzzle somewhere...
It's funny because i had already figured out how to do these before the class day. Other than setting things to visible and invisible, which I think reducing the alpha really fast looks better than...
I fucking HATE sound effects! And to begin with, I wasn't too concerned about them. Then my brother starts making a musical score for Herp and... The shit hit the fan. I still don't understand how sound effects work. Fuck 'em.
Scratch that, Miken wasn't born yet... Er, the game 'Miken the Troll King' wasn't yet... The character yes, though his in game sprite looks nothing like the finished concept, but still. Anyway... What was I typing here?
My worst coding problem was... Well "coding" problem was getting hit detection to work for enemies so i wouldn't have to add new code for each enemy. the worst problem in general was getting the god forsaken Flash bullshit to not freeze every 5 seconds! Seriously. I got so pissed I punched my monitor and broke it.
I didnt find a damn thing on the Globloria website. Seriously have you tried saying "Globloria" three times really fast? It's impossible! Anyway, with how my luck went I'd get stuck on something and then the next class day we'd learn how to do something that made the one thing I was stuck on doable.... Globloria Globloria Globloria. Damn, it's even hard to type it.
